The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) has issued a stark warning: the world is heading toward a 2.6–2.8°C temperature rise by the end of the century if current policies and commitments remain unchanged.
The Emissions Gap Report 2024 highlights that although renewable energy capacity and electric vehicle adoption are growing rapidly, global greenhouse gas emissions have not peaked. Without stronger national climate action, the Paris Agreement target of 1.5°C remains out of reach.
Organizations are now expected to take independent steps toward decarbonization, including investing in carbon offset projects, sustainable production, and verified emission tracking.
Gronhem’s sustainability solutions and Carbontier’s transparent carbon market tools help businesses align with these global goals and close their emissions gap.
